Hi everyone,

Here is a litho that I resently finished for a customer of mine. The box is made of maple. I used two puck lights to back light the litho, I got them at home depot. The carved picture is 12" x 8". I carved the corian with a depth of 0.125 and a height of 100. The photo was a already black and white. I didn't invert the photo. Hope this info helps someone else who wants to do a litho themselves.

Thanks Mike

Here is another litho of my Girlfriend and I. It came out great, but took two tries because I forgot to change bit optimization to best. What a difference between the two. I wish the software would default bit optimization at best. Thx, Mike

I have yet to try a litho and really have to get around to it someday.. the detail you got in these is fantastic!

Just an idea concerning the lighting.. puck lights get extremely hot and with the ready availability of LED lights you should try them out on your next.. You will never need to worry about bulb replacement and they run cool to the touch.

Check out superbrightleds.com for a huge variety of light types.

Hey ton80,

When I built the box a couple of years ago leds were very expensive. They have come down in price so I may use them in my next one. The box is the same one in my first post, just swaped picture. I made the first one for a customer who never picked it up, guess she wasn't searius when she wanted me to make it. Oh well now I have one for myself.

Thx, Mike

Very nice litho. I am more impressed by the box. This is worthy of showing in any home or office, one the very best I have seen.

Great job Mike. I haven't carved a litho yet but, if I can get them to come out as good as yours it might be worth a try.
