Has anyone recently installed it. In the beta version there were complaints here that it did not work well with our stuff - pattern downloads etc. How is the full version?

I can't comment on the full version but I had Internet Explorer 8 Beta installed for 3 or 4 weeks but uninstalled it today because of freeze up's. Didn't matter if I changed the compatibility mode or not. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with viewing png files or not but I am going to hold off for awhile before I install the full version.

I installed the new windows 7 to get rid of Vista and ie8 does not play well with it at all. There are many sites that will not open and if a site does open and has any links, chances are the links will not work properely.

I just purchased a new laptop and I loaded all my CW software, but what I notice is that when I open Designer, there's no PTN files that I have on my primary PC. Anyone know how I can get those on my laptop? Thanks.

No problems with IE 8 here. Some sites need the Compatability Mode. It's much better than the Beta and RC releases.

No problem with IE-8 either on my desktop (Vista 32 Home Premium) or my laptop (Vista 64 Home Premium). Works quite well.

I am still on XP (and happy with it), I think I will stick with IE7 also for a while. If it ain't broke, don't fix it just to make more money for Microsoft.
Thanks

Hey
I have XP pro. I installed IE8 And it would not work under my user which is computer administrater, but would work on the other user that is limited user. called microsoft tech support, some software conflict. They could't tell me what software it had a conflict with. So I went back to IE7, no problems there.
