Here is a few that I got done the last couple of weeks.

The mountain biker clock is the one I posted about the letters chipping out. http://forum.carvewright.com/showthread.php?t=11428

The mt. bike pattern was made for me by jpaulk @ carvemore.com (http://carvemore.com) The board design is one the Chrisalb posted with the "bad day fishing" sign.

The customer did not want to go with the centerline text and I did not like the look of the text that I re carved on another board and was going to do a on lay. I did a complete re carve with the correct height/draft. It is the dark stain (red mahogany) on cherry. Not my choice but you give the customer what she wants. The picture is actually lighter than the actual. I had to lighten it up a lot just to get it to show in a picture.

The first one I cut and sanded the text down and finished with several coats of tung oil. Got it at a local bike shop to see if it will sell.

Rainbow and Brown trout will be going to Calif. KOA campground at Mt. Lassen for their gift shop.

The last clock was for a friends husbands birthday. He is a Jeep 4 wheeler guy.
The clock shape is an adaptation of Al's clock.

Thanks for all the good comments!

The trout are starting to get easy now. Only took one day to paint these up! I've worked out a deal with a local sporting good shop to do some consignments sales with them so I have a few more to do now. Hope all are not getting to bored with seeing the pictures of them!

The mtn. bike clock was a bit of a challenge. Started out with the customer wanting the text and pattern put on a ring of an existing clock she bought. Finally after showing her that the detail would not be what she wanted we went with the plaque idea. After doing several layouts/designs we settled on Chris's "bad day fishing" design. She really liked the looks of the edge lines and contours.

Attaching the mpc for those who might want to use it. Note that the cut out for the clock was done for a specific style/size of clock, https://www.dayclocks.com/store.asp?area=FullProduct&productid=30. I would recommend that you buy your clock works first and size it accordingly.

Floyd,

I have to tell you brother, I'm always simply amazed with your work. Your painting skills are second to none and if I live long enough, I hope to get half that good. With my painting/finishing talents, I figure it should only take 10 to 20 years!! LOL

We'll NEVER get "Board" with you pictures buddy. Keep em coming!! http://forum.carvewright.com/images/icons/icon14.gif I learn a LOT about the little nuances involved just by looking at them!
