Just used my machine for the first time today, this thing is really amazing.

I am a woodworker who typically sands to about 400 grit and finish with a close-to-the-wood finish like Danish Oil, or Maloof's. My question is, what is the best way to smooth the designs after carving? I read they recommend brass brushes and such, but there has GOT to be a better way. Anyone ever tried sandblasting for instance?

All suggestions would be welcome, especially those tried and true...

Scotch Bright Disks and a power tool for them....

Sand Blast would mute the detail.

mcsuper,

The best that I've found is here (http://forum.carvewright.com/showthread.php?t=8857&highlight=radial+bristle).

I used abrasive sanding pads.
