In all fairness why was this tread (http://forum.carvewright.com/showthread.php?t=11327)not reopened like the other two?

This is the end of the week and Ron should put a price tag on his chuck. It is not fair for all to have to wait on him.

I have been holding back information on Joe's chuck now for a week waiting on Ron. If the price is not released today we will go forward without him.

You will see some information tomorrow and that I will promise you.

Edit> The other link to Joe's hands in has been close (http://forum.carvewright.com/showthread.php?t=11374) also.

I will go ahead and post the information link here for Joe's contact information along with pricing within the hour. Starting to get a bad feeling about this.

Lets not get too excited about deadlines. Ron's project has been more than a year in the making. He is still working with the Heat Treating people. They will be VERY HOT OFF THE PRESS.....

As far as price, that is up the the makers and we already know the Eliminator can be had for about $49.00 with just different threads. I know both sides will get the most they can for the product. I put the value at 3 QC's and 15 Bit holders at a minimum in savings. And that is just in the first YEAR... It will pay for itself very fast for me and slower for others.

Knowing Ron's price might just make Joe abandon the project, time will tell.

At ANY cost I WILL have both, then decide which is my preference.

It is not about price as it is about who's has a track record designing chucks and is most functional. It is about who has the best chuck not price. That is what we are trying to free ourselves from.

I don't think it is fair to judge the Rock until it has been tested. It is a sound design and is working. Yes, Joe does do it differently and Joe mentioned to me that he is working on a new version that is 2 wedges or something different.

Innovation is what it is all about and bringing a product to market.

Having 3 choices now... The QC, Rock, and Eliminator Version 1 and soon Version 2... for a 4th choice.

No need to hint at bad mouthing Ron. Let his product speak for itself.

I bet they sell out in less than 6 hours.

This thread is about hard feelings about closed threads and marketing. Really not fair to LHR as they are paying the bill. If this is closed in the morning I would understand. It is turning into a Pi$$ ing contest.

I don't remembering bad mouthing anyone. Did I miss something? I just wanted to bring attention to why we are here and that is to find the best replacement chuck.

If Ron makes the better chuck that is great. But let's not bring a price into the picture to determine that. I just want to be fair to everyone involved.

Joe's information here (http://www.carvespot.com/forum/read.php?3,30)

It was your "Track Record" mention that could be taken either way.

Hi guys... my what can happen while you are away making parts. Well... the chucks are going to ship mid week. The problem is that i am having a computer issue trying to get the paypal link to work. Ive done it before, but it is frusting the %^$*^%$* out of me why i cant get it to work now.
The info is ready to send out, and is in the hands of Tommy on the CompuCarvewright site... I just want to be able to get paid, so it is kind of important that the paypal thing gets worked out.

You will be quite pleased with the chucks!... I am so confident that i am going to put a lifetime warranty on them.

Trust me THERE IS NO ONE that wants to get this sent out more than me... I am running on pure adrenaline at this point !
