I'll be on line.
I'm in Tipp City rather than the lake as I'm the 24/7 care-giver for my mother.
My equipment is in Tipp at present.

Bud,

Nice design, I imagine that you designed it to meet your most current and primary needs. I am getting too big a collection as it seems that the ones I have are a little short/narrow/shallow for my current needs.

I think that is why I like just using rails a lot of the time. Just have a set for 16", 24", and 48" (although I should have a set for 32" also). I have only made one "frame" like Chrislb showed in a post.

I doubt that a "do-it-all" sled is possible.

No Problem... thought i would stop by and take a look at your sled, and show you the new product you were asking me about as well.

Take care and hopefully we can meet when you get back in the area!

Cool sled,

having screws on the bottom is a not a good idea overall if not countersunk. the sandpaper can tear in about 2 secs if not.

a good tips for adding the cross rails dead wood is to use good old yellow glue, seems to do the trick. If the carvewright has a misshap it will not cut into the steel screw damaging the carbide.

to true your sleds for a100% flat surface I send my sled through a drum sander. The Carvewright will thank you for it.

Cool sled bud, You are not the only one Al. Thanks to the use of my new awesome carrier sled, some of us are still at it too. My carving, "H-3 rotor blade", should be done about midnight or so.
