A PNG file or the MPW can be used by anyone with in the pattern editor. A PNG file anyone can alter even without the pattern editor. If you had the older software...pre 1.126 I believe you could alter many of the older ptn files that are in the pattern sharing thread as they were made in the older software and don't have the "tag"..(not sure what to call it) that stops us from being able to edit another persons ptn file. I personally still run and use 1.120 software on my system.
