Pattern background HELP

I'm looking for help from someone who can tell me how to make my pattern stick up out of the wood, other words carving down all the background around the patterns.

Can anyone help me please?

Johnny,

What you are talking about is putting a "carve region" around your pattern to remove the wood. Typically the carve region and pattern should be set and the same depth.

Not sure if you have the latest version of the software manual or have read any of the tips & tricks newsletters from CW.
