just wanted to know if you can get the carving bit without the adaptor? or can you get them somewhere else other then carvewright

Funny you should ask, I just got these in the mail a few minutes ago.
You need to get good quality bits like the ones in LHR's package, and make sure that you do not get too big a bit (too much stress on the flex shaft).
Also note that it could void your warranty.
The bits pictured are solid carbide, one is a 1/4" round nose and the other is a 22 degree V bit to see how small I can go with text size. It looks like I might have a problem with the CC/CW touching the board since it is so sharply pointed.

Here is a link (http://soigeneris.com/default.aspx) that Jeff suggests. The bits that I showed in the picture are from Eagle. There are many other sources, just get good bits!
