I do a lot of 3d graphic design. I use all types of softwares. I was just curious.

In regards to customization. Am I restricted to using the scanner? Or can i create a 3d Image from a another 3d Creation Software and import it into the Carvewright Software.

Ulead 3d Studio
AutoCad
Max3d

Just doing a lil research before I purchase 1.

Designer cannot import other file formats as of right now. Most of us are using seperate 3d software and then save as a .png format and import into designer.
Good Luck if you get one

You can import PNG and Jpeg and Bmp,Mng Gif and XP, Basically it's a heightmap that would be needed of the art. I believe 8 bit greyscale

Just take a bumpmap or heightmap from your model and export out as a graphic file bmp jpeg png then import into carvewright

So basically , Your saying use 2d renditions of my 3d creations.

But edit the 2d in a way to help the CW software best create a 3d image?
