I use a "mop" and "minimops" to clean up my carvings. They are a product of RJR Studios. I noticed that they were not listed for the L A Woodworking show May 1, 2, & 3. I e-mailed Bob Raffo to ask him why. His response was: "Clint, the Woodworking Show was sold to two vendors of the show "BAD DOG"and "WOODLINE". The owner of Bad Dog (Joe Strong) has given a company from Canada (personal friend) exclusivity at the shows.
The Canadian firm has knocked off our machine, and is in violation of our US PATEN. Unfortunately the cost of going into court to enforce our patent is ridiculously to expensive.
So you will not see the SAND-FLEEŽ at the show, but I would appreciate it if you asked why RJR Studios is not in the show. If enough woodworkers ask why, may be the promoter will get the message.
Thanks for asking. Bob"
Over the years I have found RJR to be good people and I don't like this kind of politics. If you go the this show - or others where they usually were - please say something to the management.
Thanks
Clint

cestout,

Thanks for the info, and I'm sorry to see this happen.
I just bought a 18" sand Flee sander with the power tack off
for the sanding mops about 2 month ago, to surface sand most
of the plaques and signs I carve on my machine, and I must say,
I've been pleased with the results on all my projects.
