Aspen Wood

I really love the aspen wood but for the width i need, Lowes has them in the panels that are glued together, but how do they carve? has anyone used these?

I have used aspen and glued it up myself and carved with no problem.

I also have used the same boards from Lowes and have had no problems with them.

I have used Aspen from Lowe's glued up panels works fine.I still havn't found out what they use for glue. Capt Barry.

I need to try different lumber, I have used only redwood/ cedar and mytlewood, once oak.

Oh I did carve cherry once before I learned how to adjust the draft in designing. I made a small sign with thin font and with redwood it chipped big time. Cherry carved great!


Rick how is the QC holding up? Did reformatting solve the error?
