Hey Everyone!
It's almost the season to once againg pull the camper out and hit the yearly campgrounds with the family. I would like to replace the old rotten family camping sign with something carved using the carvewright. Last name, picture of a tent or camper, campfire....??? Any other idea's?

Thanks!

May help if you state what it needs to say and the size it has to be. Dan

"The Guetzke's" Then maybe "Campsite" I was thinking of putting all my family's names underneath but the wife is uncomfortable about that because we have two small children. Play it safe I guess.

Thanks for the interest!

I made a camping sign for a friend a while ago and put in some trees and a raccoon. Here is the raccoon if you want it.

Those are nice cnsranch, If they show up at their campsite with a sign like that I'm sure they will have to start taking orders because everyone will want one, LOL, Hey there's a business idea.

Here is a little help in a .mpc that has been profitable for me. I was tasked to make signs like a previous sign guy made with a Sears Router and Plastic Letter guides.

This is how I did it. 3/8 inch bit, Modern Text Font, Outline Mode, depth to .1, Text set to 2 inches high, two sided sign.

If you don't ave Centerline Text yet this is a Great Sign system that you already have.

If you scale the Text down you will need a smaller bit and if you make 3 inch text you may need to use a 1/2 inch bit because of the outline. The Modern Font is a Single Stroke Text so a T consists of 2 lines a top and a post.

Check out my website and signs of life for more sign ideas.

Good Luck,

AL

The owl is just a picture, but with a stain it looks ok.

cnsranch, I like the williams mpc but i have a question, it shows board settings at 24"x 15", I thought the max width was 14.5" I would like to use this mpc for a addres sign at my home.
thanks steve

Steve, you can change the width of the board to 14 inches cnsranch's pattern is just short of 13 inches in width. You need to delete the cut path, then "Select All" - Change the board size, and reset the cut path.

Cnsranch that's a great pattern; I removed the "Names" and saved it for my CD storage file for later use, thanks.

Glad you can use it...

I've since improved the oval shape - if you look at Williams, the edges are stair-stepped. Designing it over again, I'd use the attached (this is the oval I used on Prinds).

Re size - you're right on. Re-dimension the board settings, and re-set the cut path.
