I purchased a basic bit set from Sears when i purchased the Carvewright (CompuCarve) It came with standard 1/2" & 1/4" Bullnose 45% and 60% bits and the 3/8" straight bit.

Can the additional Bits supplied in the Full set be purchased seperatly? eg: Classic bit etc. Didnt see then listed seperately on the CW website. Or can I use generic bits and the adapters. If so where would i find the specs for the bits the CW has programed into it.

Is there a way for the CW to learn new bits it does not have built in memory?

You can buy an improved carving bit here:
http://www.precisebits.com/products/carbidebits/taperedcarve250b4f.asp

Bits can also be purchased here:
http://eagleamerica.com/category.asp?c=55995&SID=EAGL090320&EID=DMI090320E&lm=eagl

You have to follow the CW instructions closely for mounting these bits into the CW adapters. Buying the bit mounted in the adapter direct from CW might be your best bet if you want to avoid the assembly procedure.

Be sure to read the warranty that came with your machine before you purchase bits, other than CarveWright. May void your warranty, if you have questions feel free to contact customer service.
