I have a couple of pictures that i have carved. There is an additional carved region around them that i want to get rid of. Is there anything special i have to do? I do not have corel or anything other than CW software.

There are free photo programs you can download to remove the background.
GIMP and Paint are two great programs that are free.
You stated you only have the CW software, if you have the Pattern Editor that comes with the probe you can remove the background with the PE program.
