Thanks! I made the lamp for my wife...her friends saw it and they all want one....total orders in two day = 9
I still have no idea how much to charge them.
ANY SUGGESTION?
Gaston, if it is wired correctly you should be fine! Use a low voltage bulb,or an energy bulb it doesn't give off enough heat to start a fire.
I would double check it with a Fireman, they would know. By the way they look great!

This might help you understand the heat put off by a light
100 watt light bulb example, the heat generated is as
follows:
Heat generated = 100 watt-hours x 3.41 BTUs/watt-hour
Heat generated = 341 BTUs
To give you a feel for how
much heat 341 BTUs is, we refer back to the basic definition of a BTU. A
BTU (British Thermal Unit) is the amount of energy (heat) required to raise
the temperature of 1 pound of water 1 degree Fahrenheit. If a gallon of water
weights 7 pounds, then the heat generated from one 100 watt light bulb
burning for 1 hour will raise the temperature of 1 gallon of water 48.7°F
(1 gallon x 7 lbs/gallon x 48.7°F x 1 BTU/lb °F = 341 BTUs).
as you can see in the chart the fluorescent 100 watt actualy only consuming 23 watts

Cree, what are the sayings on the lamp, all I can make out is the Faith, Hope & Love... Beautiful work though :)

the lamp looks great, just the pictures were too small for those of us with age adjusted eyes to be able to see..
Thanks for the pics anyway.
Thanks for the info....I did use low watts energy saving light bulbs...they seem to work fine.
