View Full Version : Pa's Fishing Story

Hello everyone,

I saw this Idea at a friends house the other day his was made in China this one is made in the USA well I already had this fish that I have been working on and I drew Pa’s truck and created the pattern and carved it, there are three carvings and the bed slats front and back were cut on the table saw. I am working on some other fish as well.
I also carved the Fairie Spirit Forest again I sold the other one and needed this for a presentation for some gift shops in the area, I have this pattern in the pattern depot if interested.
The last couple of days been carving Michaels tea box will show those when a little more finished sure do love doing his projects.
Well I have seen some really cool projects here Thank you all for displaying and the Ideas you have helped me with, what a great community.

Ray, I had to smile when I saw your "Pa's Fishing Story." It so reminds me of the fishermen I have in my family. But I think I'd have to have a semi-truck flat bed for the fish in their stories. Love your work. SharonB

No, I just saw the video , thought it was funny, and wanted to share it.
I had heard stories where fishing was so good that the fish were jumping into the boat, first time I ever saw it!

Around my area there is a flying carp (Asian Carp) but these didn't look like it but it was hard to tell.

those are some sort of snake head fish. we just got rid of all of them in arkansas. they have been outlawed in the US.
