You sure you dont mean PNG. The viewer will not show your ptn files.

i just saw that the free program from hp called picaso will do proof sheets. what a time saver.
I save my patterns in folders with all the files I use to make the patterns. With Windows XP using the "Thumbnail function" it shows all the images. I store my old pattern folders on CD's. With the images in the folders it is easy to find a PTN or MPC if I need them. Each CD holds about 200 folders. This works great for me. I also have lots of PTN’s and MPC’s from the forum with screen prints so it is easy to find those patterns also.
