Could someone please look at the mpc attached and tell me if this will work.
I am trying to produce the following:
1/4" on the edges
1/2" dado
1/4" of solid wood in between the 1/2" dado and a .250 recess.
then the cut out.
thanks in advance

Unless you are placing this project in a sled, I think the Dado(s) will cause a problem.
If you are not using a sled, or wider/taller wood, I would leave the ends of the Dado(s) closed.

lhanner,
As Bud stated, the rollers will drop into the dadoes and cause a problem.
The simplest solution would be to tape a piece of half inch thick material about 3/4" wide and 7 inches longer than your board to each side of your board. These "rails" will give you some material for the rollers to hold the board down.
The first (bad) picture shows something like what I'm talking about. The second one shows one where I used screws to hold the rails to the board.
In either case, put tape across the ends for the sensor to see for the added 7 inches.
Edit: I took too long to compose this, sorry.
