Bought a piece from a local sign company, only had 1.5". As noted before , it is expensive compared to wood. Fiqured they charged me $10 a sq ft. Particular piece was about 9 " wide. Carved on Best, sprayed with 3 coats auto/metal primer, then sprayed with 3 caots flat white enamel. Considered using a semi or high closs and decided it would detract from the carving and look more plastic. As note by others, does carve easily, did no cleanup of the carving.
