feathering

the folks at LHR recommended that I put a 1/8 feather around the perimeter of the carve region to put less stress on the carving bit (I'm carving this in cornian)...when I tried to feather I could only get it to feather on two sides, bottom and right side. Any suggestions? the mpc file should be attached; but I can't confirm it.

I tried to attach the mpc file but it was too large and it wouldn't attach. Anyone know a simple way to reduce the size so I can attach? Thanks.
