I REALLY like that Poker Hand sign. Now if I just had a moment of free time to play some poker. :)

Enjoy both of them, the finish of the poker one obviously took time. Great work, am sure they both are destined to fill specific places. Am interested in the MPC for the cross, have some in-laws that would appreciate one of them. Keep up the good work.

Where exactly in Chicagoland are you located?

I am from Barrington.

Maybe someday we should start a local user's group.

Gave up poker 5 years ago because of time.

Jeff

It's a pattern on the pattern depot. I have carved a bunch of these as a outline cutout of various sizes and they all turn out good. The one here is a glue up of 1" brazil cherry and 1/2" aspen and then carved at .6 deep. I need to tweak it a little more cause the carving went too deep. Hope this helps:)

I am in Darien. Sounds like a good idea, I know of one other guy with a machine and we talk every now and then. The problem is finding the time!

Understand. Finding time these days is tough in this economy. I've had the machine for over a year. Finally did my first project last night at midnight (woke up my wife.)(The machine is REALLY noisy!)

Just have to keep it in mind for the future.

Take care,
Jeff

Let me see you have had the machine for a year and you just did your first project, and you did it at midnight, wow you really don't have the time. Good for you! I too am from Chicagoland, just on the Indiana side of Chicagoland.

I don't think "loud" adequately describes the experience. Time to coin a new phrase/word. How about "CW LOUD!!!" (exclamations point included)

Finally back in town so I need to redo my project. Woke the wife up and the project didn't work out exactly as planned.

Just kidding here..........but I think the juxtaposition of the subjects of the two projects is rather humorous.........

But, that being said, both are great looking.....
