I finally ordered my carvewright and now I am second guessing it capabilities. I was wondering if the carvewright will be able to copy this grip design?
Any info would be really appreciated.

I will just add that you will need the probe in order to accurately duplicate the grips.

I ordered a probe with my machine. I have seen alot of complex carving and was very impressed, I am only concern with being able to do both sides with the machine and was wondering if I need a more complex cnc machine.

PNAB,

I would think the CW is complex enough to do what your are asking. I know of several carvers that are doing gun grips with great success. I have done several double sided carvings (not gun grips) and have been more than pleased with the results.

I have also had the opportunity to show a potential new user who wanted to do custom grips for bows. He had a sample of the grip and we did a scan of it. He was surprised at the detail even though it was done on the lowest quality setting.

did you get a chance to search "gun grips" and see some of the results?
