Carving text on fireman plaque

I bought a fireman plaque from the CW Pattern Depot and tried to place text on the two blank areas of the plaque. But the text was breaking apart. I wanted the text to be raised up. The fireman's name started with M ... the capital M was going to be about 1/2" tall and about .130" raised up. The straight legs of the M just broke away.

I could not figure out how to get Centerline text in these plaque areas?

Rick, because the ribbon is contoured centerline will not work. To help with the raised lettering from breaking reduce your height to 500 and adjust the draft to thicken the letters. Use small at the least and medium at the most. But until we are able to adjust the depth of centerline it will never work on a contoured surface.
