Hi all,

Been a long time. I am going to make 5 barstools and want to use the CC to carve the seats. This way they will be uniform and the same. My question is this I want to make rear end depressions (that would be butt prints for those in Louisiana) on the seats, does anyone have the standard demensions for this and a way to do it on the cw.

This is not a joke. I am serious.

thanks

Do a search for a dish you can use that just invert the pattern or if you can sit on a scanner, naaaa!

Hello,

I tried searching for barstool ergonomics, barstool butt, barstool plans and came up empty - could not find any "guideline" for the seat contour.

Maybe put chalk on your "sweet spot", sit down on a black sheet of paper, and use that as a template. ;)

That's all I can think of to do other than just make a calculated "guess".

do a search for go-3d-dish I think this will work for what you like to do.

Hey Biz
Try this one . I have no idea where it came from ,so use it at your own risk. Good to hear from you again. It's also adjustable.

I've made several stools with the CW machine, Works great, I sand the center some and round over the bottom. Hope this helps.

The butt prints are nice, are these stools going to have a back on them? if they are I would go with the butt prints, if they don't have a back on them, can I make the suggestion that you might want to just make a dish on the top otherwise you would have to sit on the stool a certain way or it might be uncomforable.
