Something my Dad taught me -

Give a man a fish
and he'll eat for a day.

Teach a man to fish
and he'll drink beer all day.

Al - Isn't that the cause of excessive body hair?

Al,

With a scene like that it is a wonder you that you get any carving done! Sound like you have slowed down some though so take your book and pole down by the stream side and enjoy!

Sounds like the good life Al! I haven't fished any freshwater in years. Everything down here on the Gulf Coast is catfish, redfish, that kind of stuff. Still, good eatin' though. :D

I'm almost embarrassed to say this but I bought one of those signs out of Hong Kong on EBay a few years back, it had the logo of my favorite English soccer team. That thing worked for about a month before the bulb burned out and I went from specialty shop to specialty shop looking for a replacement before I was told that I had to contact the manufacturer for a replacement. Thing is I don't speak Chinese so there went that. So it became a useless piece of junk. If your signs can overcome that seeming small hurdle you will have went above and beyond those "other" folks.

Kind of makes me think of the,
Three Old Fishing Buddy’s out walking on the pier.
First one says, 'Windy, isn't it?'
Second one says, 'No, it's Thursday!'
Third one says, 'So am I. Let's go get a beer.

Hair.... I tried growing a beard to give my head hair inspiration but it did not work and the beard was itchy and gray so I cut it off.... I am tempted to ask the barber for a 50% discount..... :)

I never once went fishing last year.... And we have a great Trout Stream behind the house.... Worked 12 hours a day 7 days a week....

This year.... More Fishing... Worked last night until midnight for only the 2nd night of the year.... I now quit at 5 PM..... Sit by the fire reading a book for the evening.

Fire Tag Sample requests are up thanks to eBay.

AL

Al, I like this idea. I have a bit of a change though. Go to where the fish are, build a small fire, then read while you're baiting the fish. Come back some time later, then fish. Really. It does work in warm season at Lee's Ferry upstream. Prettiest trout man has ever seen. (I mean me)

Just been wondering what the heck a "fire tag" is and what it's purpose is ...

am asking from far, far south Texas (about 10 min from the Rio Grande and 25 min from South Padre Island) ... thanks, r
