Ok, here is the deal.

I'm very happy with the compucarve I bought. I am very enthused about
learning how operate it and make some money with it.

But my situation has changed.

I am an aircraft mechanic. These machines caught my eye on Utube to believe it or not.

I had to try one.

I bought one on ebay that was advertised to (not power up) by a company I have bought quite a few products from. They don't test things too well, they get all the returns from quite a few stores.

I'm not complaining about anything here.

I was worried to death because I didn't read the ebay auction I bid on to realize the unit didn't power up.

Well someone here on the board said it had to have the memory card plugged in or it will look dead.

Thanks for that.

Absolutely right!!!!!!

It turns out that after loading the software ( which was stilll sealed in the envelope) and plugging in the memory card, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the machine.

I fooled around enough to find out that there is only 20 minutes on the machine. (It is brand new)

I plan to stay on this forum and learn all I can because I like this sort of thing.

Now here Is where I'm going with this.

I'm an aircraft mechanic working on old Navy trainers T39s in Mascoutah, Il.

I heard about a contract in Everett, Wa for Boeing paying 40 bucks an hour.
I thought, what the hell, I give them my resume.

That was at noon yesterday.

by 3:30 yesterday, they called me up and said (I am in)

I worked up in Everette a couple different times for a different company
alot less money
and very far from any other aviation work.

I swore I would never work up there again.

But never say never.

All four of my sisters live up that way. ( don't know how they can stand that chinese torture, but they do)

I haven't seen them in years.

All things say GO SCOTT, YOU DUMB *** !!!

So , I'm going.

I realize I got a great deal on this machine. I don't want to give it up.
but I will sell it so I do not run in to money problems on this trip.

I will buy another one later.

I will sell it for $1000

if anyone is interested.

I know I will make a little profit on this, but If I don't , I don't want to sell it.

I'll store it in my RV. and use it later.

I have not put a single board in it.

It has 20 minutes on the hour meter.

I do not even know how to operate it yet.

I still have the packing in my living room and can pack it right back up.

I can buy one later.

I'll be able to afford it and lessons to boot later.

If it's wrong to put this on here. please delete it an slap my hand, cause I haven't been here long enough to know your rules.

Thanks.

I will stay and learn on this forum
