Well I know there was some discussion about what sears was charging somewhere but been up all nite cant find it. Anyway anyone looking for a compucarve sears has a deal on now for 12 same as cash. yea it starts out at 1999.99 but there is about a 200.00 rebate + I got 20% off the 1999.99 which got the unit for 1419.99 new not refurb. Thought I would pass it on

I checked Sears online. I see the $200 rebate, but where do you find 20% off? Also, what is the factory warranty? The refurb is 6 months but they don't list it for the new unit.
Thanks

A new unit has a warranty of 1 year or 200 hours on the cut motor, whichever comes first.

Harbor Freight has the Carvewright for $1699, and here (http://www.harborfreightusa.com/usa/common/displayCoupon.do?week=509&campaign=RetailC&page=509_retailC.html&r=3992_933633&cust=33015553583&keycode=0000) is a 20% off coupon, good thru Feb. 2.

I was about to order from Harbor Freight, but the coupon is for use in store only. Called the 2 closest HF stores, about 65 miles to either of them - they say the Carvewright is not sold in stores.

Darn.:(

Just got another one from sears last week and just got the call today that its in.

Got the 10% off plus the 5 year protection plan. When it comes down to it I know the reviews have been sad but Ive had nothing but good luck when it comes to them. Got my first one there but didnt get the 5 year since they didnt offer it then. If their gonna offer to replace it for up to 5 years if they cant fix it then Ill jump on it.

Needed a second one anyway as a backup.

I have a sears mech. and I have had done everything possible I could to not send it to sears when the mech had some problems. And when carvewright and i were unable to get it back on line my options were send it to c/w or use my 5 year protection plane. So I tryed sears and was very pleased with the service. I received it back within two weeks and they did fare more work on it then I ever expected about $900.00 worth. And it works great now.

Now that is the kind of post I've been looking forward to,
it sounds like Sears is starting to get their service department
up to speed on these Machines.

I looked at the other coupon items and they have a downdraft table for $69.00. I think the CW might fit on it?

about a year ago or so, sears protection plan for this machine was a bad joke, if they're honoring this plan within a 2 week turn around time period, "WOW". i'm sure lhr will have to vamp up production. that kinda sucks cause i wanted to be the only one on the block(neighborhood) to have the machine. now eveyone and thier mother will have one. lol

I bought my Sear's machine off ebay for $1000 (buy it now price) about a week ago, was a customer return but came to me like new, not a scratch or speck of dusk on it anywhere with an unopenned CD & cutters.

I've only done one project on it, but so far I LOVE this machine.

I did a Buy-It-Now on ebay for $1000 also. Can't wait to get the machine. I've had a Wood-mizer sawmill for 7 years now, and am setting up a small Nyle dehumidifier kiln. As my other hobby is photography, this machine should fit right in. I'm a mechanical engineer and have been doing 3-D solid modelling in various CAD systems for many years. I already imported a few simple CAD models into the trial Designer package. I went with a refurb unit for the time being, thinking that when I retire in a few years, I'll get the latest and greatest version of CC or CW at that time. Thanks for the wealth of information on this forum.
