Okay all, I am about a week away from buying a CarveWright, but my first project planned involves some Lexan carving. Can anyone tell me if the CarveWright does a good job on this material?
I am looking to do some flat pieces, with several different diameter holes, in them, along with some fairly small engraved lettering. Has anyone tried this?
I don't want to sink $2k into the system just to find out it is the wrong tool for the job.
The sales folks say "sure... no problem", but I thought I would ask the real experts, you folks (yes, I am sucking up... whatever works to get the real scoop!).
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Dudley,

Welcome to the forum.

Quick answer is yes laxan carves are possible with the CW.

Try doing a search for "lexan" for all of the posts about carving it. also search "corian", "cast acrylic" and "litho". More than enough info on carving these materials.
