Can someone tell me if it is possible to take the file I have uploaded and make the lettering so it can be used in centerline? I have an order for these wooden footballs with school names on them. They want the lettering configured as you see it, but if I do it raster, it really does not come out very clean, centerline would be much better. The actual size of the football is 8.353 x 5.002.

Any and all help would be appreciated

Thanks
Jeff

Try this . but you do need centerline software to make work. .

Thanks for the mpc, I have centerline, but I was hoping I would be able to use it more in the configuration they have requested. I am not sure it can be done, if not, I will make it like the one you have.

Thanks
Jeff

Here's a bit of a workaround if you have Microsoft Word. Use MS Word Art to layout your lettering. Take a screen shot of it when it's done and save it as a PNG (if possible, my screen shot can). Use that image to create a pattern.

Now this is still a raster carving but you can get a nice clean pattern and it will carve very well. Whether regular raised letters (picture top) or inverted carved in letters (bottom), it opens some possibilities.

Thanks for the idea!!! http://forum.carvewright.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Hey Chris and Ike, I found the easy way to do it. I just made it in word then copied and pasted onto a transparent background in paintshop, saved it as a png and imported!

Thanks!

Jeff,

Just curious here. What version of word do you have and what version of paintshop?

When I first tried this I tried copy and paste but PSP told me it couldn't get the data from the clipboard??? That's why I took a screen shot to do it.

I have Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 (i.e. PSP 10) and Word 2007.

Hmmmm.....????

I am using word 2003 and I have a real old copy of paintshop. It is version 6.01
