So far LHR has not responded. This error occurs on sailboat weather predictor project files for Sails and Hull parts. Stand opens okay. I'm using Mac OS 10.4.4, Designer 1.132. So far I have re-download project both on my Mac and also on a different PC. Also tried Safari, Firefox and Internet Explorer. I've "repaired permissions" and run Disk Utility "calculate Image Checksum" both CRC-32 and MD-5. Don't know what these are but they sounded related. I'm using Comcast Cable Highspeed internet connection.

Any other ideas? Screen shot of error message is attached.

Thanks,
Bill

Thanks Ken. Think I'll try purchasing "Disk Warrior" as recommended in this thread. If it gets my project going it's worth $100. Funny how all of a sudden my computer feels like just an accessory to my CarveWright!

Any other Mac users having problems with Sailboat Project? I tried Ken's suggestion and followed advice in the thread he suggested. I believe at this point I can say the problem can't be in my computer. I've run every disk repair software I have, including spending $100 for "Disk Warrior" as suggested. All software says my disk is in good order, permissions are in good order, desktop (ledger) is in good order. Disk has been optimised (defragmented). I trashed all copies and versions of Designer and reloaded 1.132. Trashed ALL files associated with Sailboat Weather Predictor. Downloaded fresh copy of Sailboat project. All trashing was done BEFORE and downloads done AFTER disk diagnostics and repair. I have the same results. Stand layout opens just fine. Sails and Hull both give me a checksum error. After two weeks, LHR Software support has done nothing to help! I know many of you don't like negative comments . . . but a fact is a fact! I know they're busy. Maybe its time to hire a few more people to keep up with their growth. My hardware support has been great. Any help with this checksum problem would be greatly appreciated. I love this project and really want to carve it.

Thanks,
Bill

Bill,

We are still working on this particular issue. We are having a hard time in recreating the error on our side. So far, you have been the only one to report this particular error on this project. When we do figure out what is occurring and how to fix it, we will let you know.

Until then, please be patient as we get this problem resolved.

64 bit or 32 bit?

Alex,
Sorry to say I'm not sure where to check what my system is running. All I could find so far is that my display is running 32 bit color and my Calculate Image Checksum is CRC-32. Also made a mistake on OS version it's 10.4.11

Hope this helps.

Alex - Are you still working on this? Wondering if I can upload the Sailboat project files to card without opening them. I don't need to modify anything. Is it worth taking a chance at carving it this way? Certainly don't want to bust my machine!

I not runnig Mac but, can you re download the project? as checksums can be lost data over the internet or a bad drive.

edit: sorry i see you have downloaded it more than once..

Thanks for the reply LG. Yes, downoaded several times and Alex sent me uncompressed files by e-mail. Still no go. Too bad this is the only project that I've had trouble loading. Would really like to carve a few!
