    Default Moving the demension lines.

Why is it sometimes I can resize my text horizontally OR vertically using the small center line buttons, And sometimes the lines move Horizontally and vertically at the same time when using one of the center line buttons. Frustrating.. I use the little button on the center of the layout line. Thanks.

Evening glad to see people do still lurk out there. not sure if this will help or not, but here it goes. When you want to move a single line there should be a hand type cursor for selecting. When you cross over the line toward the text the cursor changes to a move cursor.

Make sure your Center on page is not set.

That will prevent you from moving it.

The problem you are having with resizing text may be due to an inconsistency in how the software handles resizing when selecting.

    Introduction:
Amazon's Alexa has become an integral part of many households, revolutionizing how we interact with technology. This smart assistant offers a wide range of functionalities, from controlling smart home devices to providing weather updates and playing music. However, like any technology, Alexa is not immune to issues. One of the most common problems users encounter is Alexa not responding, which can be frustrating and disrupt your daily routine. This guide provides a detailed exploration of common issues related to Alexa not responding, including practical troubleshooting steps and solutions to help you resolve these problems and restore the seamless functionality of your smart assistant.
Understanding the Issue: Why Alexa is Not Responding
When Alexa fails to respond, it can stem from various underlying issues. Understanding the root cause of the problem is crucial for effectively addressing it. Here are some common reasons why Alexa might not be responding:

    1. Connectivity Issues: Alexa relies on a stable internet connection to function properly. If there are issues with your Wi-Fi network, Alexa may have trouble connecting to the internet, resulting in unresponsiveness.
    2. Device Placement: The placement of your Alexa device can impact its ability to hear and respond to your commands. If the device is too far from you or obstructed by objects, it may struggle to detect your voice.
    3. Software Glitches: Occasionally, Alexa's software may encounter glitches or bugs that affect its performance. These issues can prevent Alexa from responding to voice commands.
    4. Microphone Problems: If the microphone on your Alexa device is malfunctioning or obstructed, it may not pick up your voice commands effectively.
    5. Power Issues: Power interruptions or issues with the device’s power supply can also lead to Alexa not responding.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting: What to Do When Alexa is Not Responding
If Alexa is not responding, it’s essential to follow a systematic approach to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Here are the steps you can take to address common problems:

    1. Check Your Internet Connection: Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is functioning correctly. Restart your router and check if other devices are connected to the internet. If your internet connection is unstable, try resetting your router or contacting your internet service provider for assistance.
    2. Restart Your Alexa Device: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve software glitches and restore functionality. Unplug your Alexa device from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. This can help reset the device and resolve minor issues.
    3. Verify Device Placement: Ensure that your Alexa device is placed in an optimal location. It should be within a reasonable distance from where you are speaking and free from obstructions that could interfere with the microphone’s ability to detect your voice.
    4. Check the Microphone: Verify that the microphone on your Alexa device is not covered or obstructed. Additionally, make sure the microphone is not muted. Some Alexa devices have a mute button that may accidentally be activated.
    5. Update Alexa Software: Outdated software can cause functionality issues. Ensure that your Alexa device is running the latest software version. To check for updates, open the Alexa app on your smartphone, go to the settings for your device, and select “Check for Software Updates.”
    6. Factory Reset Your Device: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you may need to perform a factory reset. This will restore the device to its original settings. Keep in mind that you will need to set up your device again after the reset. Refer to the device’s manual or the Alexa app for instructions on performing a factory reset.

Fixing Alexa Not Responding: How to Fix Common Issues
Resolving issues with Alexa not responding involves addressing specific problems that may be affecting the device. Here’s how to fix some common issues:

    1. Improve Wi-Fi Signal Strength: If your Alexa device is having trouble connecting to the internet, consider improving the signal strength. You can do this by moving your router closer to the device, using a Wi-Fi extender, or reducing interference from other electronic devices.
    2. Reset the Device: If a restart doesn’t work, a factory reset may be necessary. Follow the instructions provided in the Alexa app or the device’s manual to perform a factory reset. This process will erase all settings, so you will need to set up the device again.
    3. Check for Device Compatibility: Ensure that your Alexa device is compatible with the services and features you’re trying to use. Some older models may not support the latest functionalities.
    4. Consult Amazon Support: If you’ve tried all troubleshooting steps and Alexa is still not responding, it may be time to contact Amazon support. They can provide additional assistance and determine if there’s a hardware issue with your device.
