    Default irregular shaped regions

can a region be made using arcs, incombination with connectioning line etc, other than squares or rect or circles?
I'm trying create a region that would parallel a curved pattern, please see the attached .
the object in the middle is just a test. how do I create a closed area in order to create region is the question.

    any help would be great.

    You are almost there!
    1) Highlight the figure.
    2) Go to VIEW > TOGGLE NON-END POINTS
    3) Move the RED dot just enough to make it glow and it will disappear.
    4) repeat with each RED dot as needed.
    5) Once there are no RED dots, you may apply your carve Region.

Yes you can if the lines are all connected. In yor mpc the two points on the right were not connected even though they look like they are. Zoom in and move them just a hair and the carve region icon will light up.

    Good luck.

You have some loose RED dots. Make sure the end section red dots are attached. They should light up when you connect them.
