I tried going back through some of my orders and could not find the one for the cut motor. I know it was less than $100 and $75 is kind of stuck in my head. There is also a $40 refundable core charge.
That does look like it got real hot.. maybe a little smoke too!!

As of August 8th a reconditioned cut motor was $77.25 with a $40 core return, I just found it in one of my old invoices. They didn't have any new ones available at the time, so if you choose that route I am sure it would be a bit more.

Bet it was short brushes that started to arc and caused the heat...
Every 250 hours you need to be looking at the cut motor brushes...
