    Default Propeller: Is it possible?

Would it be possible to make a propeller with the carvewright I just need to do one side and the I can cut it out on my scroll saw. I tried to something simple like a 45 degree border on the edge of a board and couldn't even pull that off. I have the deluxe bit set, but there is not a 45 degree bit. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey Eric,

I saw your post and played around a bit with your idea.
Here's something to start with, if you make it a double sided carving,
it might come out pretty good. Prop 1a is one sided --Prop 2a is two sided.

Thanks for the help. Not sure how you did it, but it gets me started.

Thank you for your help. But how did you get the tapered cut on the blade using a rectangle. Did you create this in carvewright? Are there other programs that can be used to create files that work with the carvewrite?

The Propeller Was all done on the CW Designer and the CW Machine,
The tapers on the edge of each blade was the result of the arces on the leading and trailing edges.
If you reverse the steps in the cut list you will see the prop blades did start as simple rectangles.

    Default slanted cuts

    Ken:

I have to admit that I can't see how you get the carving to slant from the wood surface at the top to the selected depth at the bottom. I know I'm missing something, but after half an hour, I'm still stumped. I tried to do that before and didn't figure it out that time either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    trusalt,

I backed the mpc down a little so you could see how I used
the Select Surface and Invert Pattern option on each side of both prop blades
