Default Extraction of .PTN from .mpc??

Would like to combine a patter from one .mpc within another .mpc ... tried Edit/copy/paste with no luck ... is it feasible? If so, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, r

If the pattern is a individual element on the .mpc carve list,
In most cases you may use the copy - paste method to incorporate
a file to a new .mps project as long as you keep both .mpc files open while you do it.

Ps. If the element or unit of the old .mpc is centered in anyway
it may also be centered in the new .mpc file, and will have to be
uncentered or released to move it around in the new file.

Ken ... thanks for the quick response ... a simple question just came to mind, however: How do you keep BOTH files open ... thought one closed when the other opened? More details would be really helpful ... thanks, r

Ken ... thanks, I just use this computer thing as my son has told me to do ... don't really understand the "hows" and "whys" but also don't mind asking questions of those of you who are nice and helpful ... thanks, will try the splitting thing ... r
