Thread: how to resecure chuck?

    Default how to resecure chuck?

    hi folks./

    i did a search but couldnt find out how to tightn up chuck..

    was running for about 20 min and heard awlful hum..looked and located chuck had unscrewed... could someone point me to procedure on securing this back...it there a lock on the unit to be able to tightn unit back ..?

    You need to remove the flex shaft from the top of the spindle, and use a square drive the size of the flex shaft cable to hold the spindle, then put some blue loctite on the chuck threads and screw it on. A thin 7/8" wrench is need to tighten the chuck while preventing the spindle from turning.

    I used the wrench that came with my router. If that helps?
