Default My way of saving time on large signs

Here is a tutorial of how to save 70% carving time on some styles of larger signs.
I also explain how to get two parts of a larger scene carve and cut and glue them together with high accuracy and minimal sanding.
I hope you find the tutorial useful.

    Thank You Carl for sharing,
I am sure this will come in handy at some point.
I had been wondering how to shave time and still get optimal carvings I guess I just didn't think long enough.
That is why I love this forum, you learn from everyone.

Thank you for all the effort in putting it together, Carl. This will be a very valuable aid for many. I will certainly be studying it soon as I need to carve a large sign for my business sometime this year as I get ready to move into my new shop in my hometown after I retire from my day job in early 2016... Much appreciated

Carl... you did a great job putting the tutorial together. Always nice to have a good quick reference handy on subjects you don't use to often.

Here is a pattern you can use to try out the splicing of two halves of a carved object. I carved it tonight but I haven't cut it and glued it yet.
