Yeah Al, get busy.
I was hoping that you wouldn't be upset with me trying to get another Rock Chuck.
I needed it for that machine that I got about a year ago.

You must rebuild the quick chuck?
-Jason
so i received my carvetight today. it is very well made. i just had a few questions. why is there 2 lock washers on the bolt that tightens the bit into the chuck? the adjustable rollers have 2 sets of screws, i take it i use the hex head because they have a square shoulder?? i also got a pack of stop collars, do they need to be glued in place???
-Jason
i was just comparing the old truck and new truck. what a difference in the build quality. the mounting points for the bearings are thicker, the top hat is thicker. some spots are closed off that had openings into the spindle bearings. overall the casting is better, and the chuck is light years ahead of the quick chuck. i may even say a little bit better than the rock. but thats just my opinion.
-Jason
The 2 lock washers are to accommodate the longer screw that was added shortly after the original design came out. It was found that with the longer screw and washers it helped with the balancing of the chuck.
The hex head screws will not strip out like the phillips head screws.
It is your option if you want to glue the stop collars or not. I think most just slide them on.
