    Default saving a line segment drawing as a pattern

    Hi everyone,I looked on the forum, but could not find an answer to this.I am doing drawings with the line segment tool, and I would like to save them as patterns instead of complete projects. is there a way to do this? Right know I am copying and pasting which is not as quick.thanksJoe

    Vectors by themselves, cannot be saved as a pattern.

    If it is a closed path, you can assign it a carve region and then make it into a pattern. Place the pattern and then remove the carve region.

    The only way you can do this is to assign a bit to the lines. I tried a 60* v and set it at .03, grouped and saved as a pattern.
    You could assign any bit and depth you want. When you save it as a pattern it will be carved with the carving bit, not the bit originally assigned.

    Another option is to save it as a .dxf file created by another software program and import the .dxf to designer.
    The only issue there is that .dxf files need to be closed polygons.
