    Default Light box

Thought I would share a light box I did for a guy at work who had recently lost his grandfather. The picture was an old grainy military photo. I'm still looking for a cheap source for LED lighting

Do you buy the roll and then create your own strips? If so, what do you need for a power supply from there and parts to connect?

Nice job. Can you also show a pic with the lights on. I want to see the box itself.

I get my lights and power supply from here http://www.ledlightsworld.com. I like the fact that the power supply has an on/off switch, beats having to unplug it all of the time.

I have gotten pretty good deals off ebay for rolls of LED's. Have always worked well for me. Just need a 1 amp 12 volt DC power supply. I got lucky and picked up a whole box of power supplies at Audio Technica when they had their warehouse sale a couple of years ago. Think I paid like $2 or 3 a piece for them. I also purchased the connectors for the power supplies off ebay, I don't bother with a switch.

It's cheaper to buy by the roll. They can be cut every third led so you can cut to which ever length you need. The site sells all the hook ups and power supplies you need. Sometimes I use rocker switches from Radio Shack for on and off or just unplug. You can get as fancy or simple as you want.
