Not sure if this helps, but I use a shop vac with the DC insert. I found at Lowe's, in the plumbing section, what is call a test cap. It plastic and is 3" in dia. I cut the hole to fit the hose on the shop vac.

These adapters are readily available on Amazon and Rockler:

This is 4" OD, so you might need a short length of 4" hose, or just duct tape it to the dust devil.

I have the dust devil, and attach it to a Rigid shop vac. I bought my adapters from Woodcraft. http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/144...r-Fitting.aspx

I recommend something like the this between your CW and the shop vac http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/149...y-Cyclone.aspx...or you will spend your life blowing out the filter... this fine stuff clogs in no time. I also use the filter bags, and it took about 40 carve hrs to see reduced air flow, 1/2 filled bag.

By hubby is giving me his HF DC unit...now I just need to figure out where to put it!

Oh! buy some foil tape and run a chain to the ground!

Shop vac adapters can be purchased through Grizzly, Woodworkers Supply, Rockler and Harbor Freight used to carry them but I can not find anymore.
These adapters work but because the 4" end is the same diameter as the Dust Devil hose attachment they will sit on top and can be installed with a short piece of hose and 2 clamps
    or just duct tape.
I do have some custom adapters I have made that fit inside the Dust Devil and only sit up 1/2". I sell these $15.00 when ordered with a dust devil, ordered separately add $6.00 for shipping.
I haven't added them to my website yet but if you want one e-mail me at: erwin@erwinproducts.com

Here are links to the adapters from Grizzly and Wooworkers Supply:

    http://woodworker.com/2-12x1-12-redu...=&searchmode=2

Hope this help everyone, I will add these to my website.
