    Default Cut motor quit

I loaded a new project and during the set up I put in the first bit and all went normal, The bit spun and went through the set up. I switched to the carving bit and it would not spin. I shut down and started over. Again, the first bit spun during the set up and the caving bit would not. I powered the machine down for a minute or so and started again. Now the bit does not spin at all. Any suggestions?

How many hours on that cut motor? Have you checked or changed your carbon brushes?

The brushes were ordered about 2 months ago and have been on back order. They just came in the mail 2 days ago. 487 hours on cut motor. I'm headed out to the shop to switch them now. I hope that is the problem.

Yep, carbon brushes get worn down like tread on your tires. Eventually, you just GOTTA replace them.
