Ironic, someone just asked me Friday if I could make one of those. I've been doing a bit of research myself. They range from $200-300 made out of wood. Correct me if I'm wrong gents but couldn't it be done in a 2 piece 2 sided carve with the long 1/16 bit?

Don't see why long bit would be needed probably could do with plain old 1.87.

So the case itself serves as storage and usage? Might be a niche. Probably best to buy one and scan it?

From what I understand you (the person making it) would buy about $50 worth of hardware and integrate it into the box. Guy I talked to said they sell for $250 all day, all the sites he showed me had them listed as sold out. He's about to bring me a plastic one next week, if there's nothing posted here from scratch before then I'll upload the scan from it.

You are correct, there is some hardware(connectors for mouthpiece, battery, electronics, etc) that would be installed inside with some small holes for a few buttons, etc. Very hot thing right now!!!
    Thanks
PS - Original designs are best and sell very quickly
