I didn't have any problems like that when I did the upgrade.
Are you using Win7? Did you install as administrator?

What does that mean? You need to reregister? What did you lose?

Capt B, when you were installing the upgrade, did you install it as administrator ?
And always back up the files before any upgrade just in case
Yes and that where it started. I will call CarveWright tomorrow.
Capt Barry
Good luck with it, hope all goes well
Barry did you install the software to the default directory C:/Program Files? I remember a short time ago one of the members was using a different file location then upgraded to I believe 1.85 and he lost all of his ptn/mpc files. Designer wiped them all out on install.
That customer saved all of his project design files in the program directory. So when he moved from 1.182 or earlier that required you to go into the Control Panel and remove the old version, he removed the project files, as well.
Updating should not have removed any files. Remember, if u are using Windows 7 (and more and more are) you must install, update and activate licenses using "Run as Administrator". Some are even needing to right click on Designer icon, select Properties, then Advanced Properties and selecting Always Run As Admin.
