alan.galbraith,
I drew a cut path around your cross with Vector Line and arc tools in CW Designer to cut it out.
Ps. I enlarged it a bit for my own collection, hope ya don't mind.

Edzbaker, nice moons pattern.
ken as always, very nice job you did on the cross.
Here is another pattern I created. trying to get experience on how much to pull the model to give a good pattern. thus I made this filagree pattern.

Using Designer 1.187, STL importer, Center line, conforming vectors, scanning probe/PE, and the ROCK chuck.

kenm810,
thanks for doing that. Do you use some sort of stylis (spelling?) to draw the lines. I know a mouse would be rather tough to use to draw the lines and vectors.
Also, anyone can use this if they wish. This was designed by one of our members of our church for a new chalice to commemorate the 100th year of our church. We also had necklaces made from silver to sell to church members. I plan on giving wooden crosses to members of the church also. Of course donations from them to the church is greatly appreciated.
Thanks again
Your Very Welcome,
No Stylus or other devices, Just the mouse with Vector Lines and Tools in CW Designer,
If it's a difficult pattern I some times use the Grid Option to help line things up.
But most can be done free hand with just the mouse, that way you can tweak it here and there as needed.

How can I extract the cross as a ptn? I can't seem to figure that one out. What I want to do is have the cross cutout and I don't seem to be able to comprehend.
You would have to eliminate the background in a graphics program first
then import the Cross by its self into designer to save just the Cross as a pnt Pattern
