I use Cocobolo on many objects. If I can afford it at the time.

I always just sand and then polish on a buffing wheel with rottonstone (It is a very fine grit). I mix it into wax to keep it sort of on the buffing wheel cloth (Linen?). Most Cocobolo will polish to a glass finish. I'd say no oil is needed even if it would take it.

Oil from the hand will keep it as 'oiled' as it needs.

Thanks Will... do you recommend any type of top coat? Poly maybe?

For a pistol grip I would 'think' not. I suggest you ask the person that they are made for.

I would suggest nothing but polishing the wood. But then again I'm not a big fan of Poly. Not that it is bad. For a pistol, I'd say, keep it natural and it will not get slippery and maybe dangerous. But then again I am not a gunsmith.

    Default Oven push-pull Stick

Does anyone have a pattern for a oven push pull-stick that they are able to share or buy? I was looking thru the files on-line and can't find one. Thanks!

    Default Thank you!

Thanks Bjbethke! That will be great. Thank you for the suggestion, I agree rounding the edges will do it. I really appreciate the help and not having to start from scratch. Have a great weekend.
