    As far as what you asking I beleive you asking about a background. In zbrush texture is something that is laid over your model and does not change the geometry and would not do anything in regards to a ptn. You can use alphas to give your actual model a textured look..think this what you are refering to. In this example of the attached net alpha i used this in one of my patterns http://carvemore.com/store/fallriverbank.html to give the fishing net the "texture" or netting look. To give your model a textured look you have to do it within zbrush as sculpting using the alphas. More info check out the tutorials on alpha's and projection master at pixologic. Hope this helps you.

    Nice one,question do you think shifting the lighting in zbrush will change the heightmap?

    Changing the lighting will do nothing with the grabdoc,which is basically a displacement map. The material or if you had texture will not affect it either. Light material and texture have to do with rendering to the final image and not a heightmap or displacement map.

  8. Default rendering in zbrush

    Hello John, Craig

    I should download the Zbrush trial when I get time.

    The trophy picture looks like the render flat shaded the polygons, but maybe it just looks that way because it is only utilizing 256 levels of gray.

    I guess I should see what kind of render shading options it has.

    Thanks for the props..yep done in zbrush...was several models I made combined in projection master...tough part about zbrush is no grid or measurement..defintly organic modeler..work around when placing things on a plane...I set the plane dimensions turn of smooth when subdivide..then turn on wire frame...I did this pretty fast...all the models were made prior...to get it dead exact I would have started the frame in moi or max and then exported as an obj and "decorated and placed jesus in projection master with zbrush
