Default another one of those quick but fun projects-- Plinko

A buddy of mine is the President of the PTA at one of our local schools (not the one that my kids go to though) and he called me yesterday afternoon.

"Dude, could you help me.... I need a game for the fair on Friday... I was thinking Plinko"

    "Next Friday?" I asked

"Uh... no... like 2 days from now Friday... in the morning..."

Here's what I came up with on such short notice--He picked it up about an hour ago--26 hours from when he first asked me about it. (and I worked today as well) I used the leftover piece of 4' x 2' mahogany ply from the recent lego/toy stand I made (it was already paid for so that helped) The sides and front number area are mahogany and I did the carvings with my carvewright.

He pretty much was only asking for a board with some pegs and was going to figure out the rest, but I wanted to make it a little nicer. Because of the time restraints, the finish is a few coats of rattle-can lacquer.

I'm really proud of the stand-- it folds down and actually stays put both in the out and in the "folded up" positions. It took me pondering things a while to come up with this design, but I'm happy. It will also allow for the board to be weighted down with jugs of water/etc in case of heavy winds.

    Thanks for looking

Lawrence.... If this is what you do on short notice I'd like to see what you could do if you really thought about it. I like the stand idea on the back.... with a plain board on the front it would work quite well for displaying small items at a craft show.
