A number of changes relating to this bit were added to the control software, most notably the cut feed rate was increased. This can be observed when "uploading" a project with 1/8" cuts versus 3/16" cuts.

Kind-of. More like:
Normally 2 @ 39.99 = 79.98 + shipping.

now its

2 @ 35.99 = 71.98 + shipping, but
1 $50gc = $55 credit, so the above total would "cost" $66.98, or about 16% off the cost of each bit (add shipping)
1 $100gc = $110 credit, so the above would "cost" $61.98, or about 22% off each bit, and still have about $38 left for patterns or the split collet or shipping
